Join us for What’s Growin’ On, 2026, Vineland Research and Innovation Centre’s annual community open house.
This year, explore how innovation in the commercial greenhouse sector is helping secure Canada’s food supply. Guests will take part in interactive, expert-led stops across the Vineland campus and learn about greenhouse production, enabling technologies, greenhouse waste repurposing, and pest identification and management.
Come see the research in action, meet Vineland experts and discover how science and innovation are supporting a stronger, more resilient Canadian food system.

Distress Centre Niagara Suicide Awareness Gathering
In observance of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th, Distress Centre Niagara is hosting our 21st Annual Suicide Awareness Gathering.
The purpose of this fundraising event is to support individuals that have been impacted by suicide, to increase awareness in our community of this difficult subject and to help us raise important funds that allow us to offer our 24/7 telephone and online chat and text support programs.
This year's walk will be held on Thursday September 10th at the Grantham Lions Hall located at 732 Niagara St. in St. Catharines.

Dr. Deena Errampalli is a retired Agricultural Specialist, a retired Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph and a visual artist. She is a member of the Grimsby Historical Society.
