  • Books on the Bench: Amanda Peters

    Join us under the tent at Fielding Estate Winery for an evening with Amanda Peters.

    Amanda is a writer of Mi’kmaq and settler ancestry. Her debut novel, The Berry Pickers, was a bestseller in Canada. In her brand-new short story collection, Waiting for the Long Night Moon, Amanda describes the Indigenous experience from an astonishingly wide spectrum in time and place—from contact with the first European settlers, to the forced removal of Indigenous children, to the present-day fight for the right to clean water.

The event includes 40 vendors, live entertainment and dance performances, a food truck by M&J Ingribelli, a penny table, a wine bar, 50 swag bags giveaway to the first 50 guests and an Enchanted Forest Barrel Room Display.

    Join the biggest street party in Downtown Beamsville! 

    To better accommodate our growing community and address concerns from last year's event, Fling on King will now be known as Fling off King, taking place at the Fleming Centre back parking lot. Fling off King is packed with incredible entertainment, the King Street Kitchen, and kids' activities.
