19th Annual Suicide Awareness Walk
Distress Centre Niagara will hold our 19th Annual Suicide Awareness Walk in observance of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th. The purpose of this fundraising event is to support individuals that have been impacted by suicide, to increase awareness in our community of this difficult subject and to help us raise important funds that will allow us to continue to offer our telephone and online chat and text support programs to anyone in need.

Grimsby Historical Society presents Michele-Elise Burnett "Landscape of Nations" 360°
The Grimsby Historical Society Speaker Series presents Michele-Elise Burnett speaking about Landscape of Nations 360°. Landscape of Nations is a public artwork installation in Queenston Heights Park. Six Nations and Native allies played a pivotal role in the defence of Upper Canada. The stories and vision will be discussed through the design of the site in relation to its landscape and central memory feature.

2nd Annual Rotary Golf Tournament
The Rotary Clubs of Fonthill and Welland are pleased to host the 2nd annual Golf Tournament on Friday September 13th, 2024.
This year the net proceeds will be donated to Youth Resources Niagara. It is a non-profit, multi-faceted agency consisting of three residential homes as well as a variety of community-based programs. Every year, Youth Resources Niagara provides services to over 160 youth in our community who have come into contact with the legal system or been placed in the care of Family and Children Services. We provide accommodations, rehabilitative and supportive programming, and mentoring to promote personal growth, change and accountability to empower youth to reach their full potential

Niagara Polo
Discover the power and passion of polo on the historic commons – the land on which officers and
gentleman played polo over 100 years ago during military training at Niagara Camp. Niagara Polo features two four-chukker games with players from the Toronto Polo Club, traditional divot stomp with bubbly, half-time entertainment, music, food vendors, wine and beer bar, artisans, silent auction, vintage and performance cars, pony rides, and loads of fun!

Sarah's Ride
Sarah’s ride is being hosted at Lakemount Worship Centre in Grimsby Ontario. 54 North Service Road, Grimsby, ON, L3M 1Y8.
Check in or walk up Registration starts at 8am in the Lakemount parking lot. KSU 10 am.
After the Ride there will be a Show&Shine, Live band, BBQ and raffle while you enjoy the company of the other riders.
Sarah’s Ride is a fundraiser for the Sarah Tapley Foundation. The Sarah Tapley Foundation has a mission of assisting families of children with critical illness in their healing journeys.

Making a Garden Box Cover Workshop
Randan Redekop will instruct participants on building a raised garden bed cover to extend the growing season. Participants will build covers for The Brown Homestead’s raised gardens and be given a supply list and detailed instructions to make one at home.
