  • Niagara Region Parkinson Canada Superwalk

    Join us for the Niagara SuperWalk 2026 from 11:00a.m – 2:00p.m. on September 13th, 2026, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 for a community event raising awareness and support for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their families. This family-friendly walk welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to come together, connect with the community, and make a difference. SuperWalk events support Parkinson Canada’s programs, services, advocacy efforts, and research initiatives.

  • Ability Walk & Roll 2026

    Excitement is in the air! It's our 10th Anniversary! Get ready for the 2026 Ability Walk n' Roll, held at City Hall forecourt on Sept 15 with a rain date of Sept 29 if needed. Just $20 gets you admission, a tshirt or hat (choice of tshirt or hat depends on availability), bag, pizza, soda, freezie & a ticket to our door prize draw. We'll have entertainment, guest speakers and more. Let's show our city that everyone has abilities and talents to be celebrated as we walk through the neighbourhood as friends and family.

  • Rural Niagara Speaker Series: Japanese-Canadian Farm Labourers

    Historian Stephanie Bangarth offers a lens into the challenging history of the forced farm labour of Japanese Canadians during the Second World War in southern Ontario. The Brown Homestead will open the evening with a brief consideration of the Japanese Canadian farm labour experience in Niagara.

    Stephanie Bangarth is a Professor of History and Human Rights at King’s University College at Western University.

    Celebrate the fall harvest at the 60th annual Harvest Pioneer Day! 

    As fall begins, and trees change into vibrant colours, come out to the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre for:

    -apple fritters
    -artisan vendors

  • Summer Saturdays

    Looking for something new to do in Niagara? Join us for Summer Saturdays at The Brown Homestead.

    Pop-by to explore our rural historic site, learn the stories held within the oldest home in St. Catharines, create heritage crafts, play lawn games, and enjoy hands-on activities designed for curious minds of all ages. Watch heritage demonstrations, view exhibits, and spend the day with your family. 

    Char in the Kitchen will be on-site 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. cooking up dishes to savour the flavours of summer. Enjoy a bite to eat on a picnic table, or bring a blanket to stay awhile in our walnut grove. 

    No registration required. Admission by donation. Open to all.
