The Grimsby Historical Society invites the community to attend the speaker series on Thursday November 12 as they present Sarah Farr - Storyteller/Writer/Researcher as she presents "Evelyn Dick: Did She or Didn't She?".
Sarah's talk is an exploration of the trials of both the murder of Evelyn's husband, John Dick, and the manslaughter conviction in connection with the death of her newborn, Peter David White. Could her claims of gangster involvement be true, or was someone closer connected?
Sarah Farr grew up in East Anglia, UK, and moved to Australia in her twenties. While living in Sydney, she worked for News Corp. After moving to Hamilton, Ontario in 2005, Sarah became avidly engaged in the city's history - in particular the story of Evelyn Dick. Not satisfied with the story told in previously published works, she set off on a mission to discover the lesser-known tales of Mrs. Evelyn Dick
