Meet Dash - Dash's story didn't begin with kindness.

He was seized as part of a neglect court case in Kentucky after living in heartbreaking conditions. When he first arrived, he was absolutely starved--his body thin, his skin covered in fleas and painful scabs. Locked inside a home filled with far too many dogs, Dash had known isolation and cruelty instead of comfort.

He waited a long time for the court case to conclude. And now, finally, this sweet boy is free and ready to for a fresh start.

At 4 years old and 34lbs, this white and grey Boxer mix is gentle, medium-energy, and incredibly loyal. What he's been through shows up at first--he can be a little shy when meeting new people or dogs. But give him some patience, a soft voice, and a safe space... and you'll see his true heart shine.

Once Dash trusts you, he is:
Affectionate and devoted
Calm and well-mannered
Housebroken and crate trained
Good with kids, adults and kind dogs
Gentle and submissive with other dogs

He walks nicely on a leash, isn't destructive, and simply wants a peaceful home with a yard where he can feel safe and stretch his legs. He would do best with a calm, friendly dog (or as your one-and-only), as very dominate and boisterous dogs can intimidate him.

Dash doesn't need much--just stability, patience, and somoene who will never let him feel forgotten again.

After everything he's endured, he still chooses love. Now he's just waiting for someone to choose him.
